As far as Republicans orchestrating Netanyahu's visit (in the Reuters citation) okay, but as I wrote:

The invitation featured signatures of all four Congressional leaders: Johnson, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.).

Schumer and Jeffries are all in, along with most Dems.

As for Harris being out of town, good move I suppose. (For what it's worth, I heard her daughter is pro Palestinian). But no amount of nuance at this point should obscure the fact that Gaza policy is all on the Biden administration. The prez could've picked up the phone at any point and halted Israeli aid and demanded a ceasefire and pushed hard on diplomacy. He did not. Think of all the votes the Dems have lost as a result of their fear of losing AIPAC money and other donors.

It is a falsehood that Netanyahu lied about weapons shipments. It was Biden who lied about weapons shipments. There’s good evidence that they were halted in January. The 2000 pound bombs was just the one that Biden admitted.

Really ALL weapons shipments were halted in January. They were said to be delayed or in transit. Netanyahu got tired of waiting around and publicly complained that there’d been no weapons for a while. Biden people blatantly lied and said weapons had been flowing the whole time.

What Biden did: Halted weapons shipments from January to July. In order to not get called on it, he shamelessly lied and said we were shipping them the whole time. So Biden was pressuring Israel but he was lying about it to avoid the massive fallout if it was revealed.

Weapons shipments restarted in early July in anticipation of a Lebanon invasion. There has since been one more.

Where are you reading that all US weapons shipments were halted from Jan to July. Not saying you're wrong but this is the first I've read that. That would also mean that Israel's inventory of US weapons is much bigger than we've been told. I recall hearing - from the Israeli side - that without crucial US support, they would run out of key munitions within days (that could've been back in thr fall).

That’s false about running out in days. I heard it from Mahmoud OD, a Palestinian podcaster quoting the Wall Street Journal. Mortar rounds, tank ammo, and armored vehicles were being held back but others said they were just on slow mode.

On the webpage of the Zionist Organization of America, a Republican Congressman listed the same three items as held up and added that there had been zero shipments of anything since January.

He said the holdup was being done by a group of Congressmen, not Biden. I gather they were not happy about the genocide.

A shipment of 500 pound bombs resumed in early July. Blinken said they would need them for Lebanon. Just the other day there was another one so I guess the shipments are back on. I was thinking about calling the Congressman to get more details.

Which makes sense. Biden has been engaging in the normal rate of weapons shipments to Israel but Netanyahu snd the Congressman made up a lie saying he had stopped sending weapons?

Or Biden stopped the weapons supply but lied and said they were rolling right along and Netanyahu and the Congressman were lying for no good reason?

Obviously if the weapons were rolling right along, why would the two lie and say they weren’t? That makes NO sense.

It’s much more likely that they stopped and the two were angry snd complaining.

Biden had a brilliant policy. We heard he hates Netanyahu and this is a way to show that maybe pressure Israel because we know he pressures Israel. Then lie and say the weapons were rolling right along to avoid the huge blowback he would get for halting weapons.

To add more evidence, Israel is running out of tank ammo. That was listed as a specific item that was being held up.

The speech is July 24, not June 24.
