Maybe my problem is that, on some level, I believe there is an objective human good--very broad, open-ended, etc. --and maybe war activities could be part of it--but not this kind of war, this kind of culture, this kind of life.

So I don't get it. Nobody wants this to end? Or do all the people who are repelled by it migrate? So then you just have the people who need it. Which the nation creates. How can this be good for these people?

The use of the Holocaust in the Israeli politics is indeed disturbing. Another disturbing fact is how Auschwitz is being used not just by Israel, but politicians of many nations for their political gain. (lately: Russia, Hungary, Poland, Germany). But not all people and not all Jews would agree. In my article below I quote life example of two well-known Polish Jews who would not support this. I also think not just Netanyahu but all politicians should be banned from Auschwitz.
